Patient residences in PCB

AG5 was lead architect for the renovation and extension of patient residences in the Psychiatric Center in Ballerup, west of Copenhagen. An important part of the project was to create common areas that help promote an inviting environment for group therapy. At the same time, individual residences give a patient the sense of independence and peace which is beneficial for treatment. Focus on wellbeing and senses is achieved by lots of natural light and natural materials. New, large skylights and wooden wall cladding give the rooms a sensitive quality that support treatment.
