Nivåhøj activity tower

In connection general improvements of the surroundings of Nivåhøj residential development, AG5, in collaboration with Thing & Brandt Landscape architects , designed an activity tower as part of the central playground and gathering area at the residences.

The project consists of a pergola with covered areas, playground equipment, and a tower with 3 slides. The tower is a steel structure partially shielded by perforated steel plates and timber strips. Slides start at different heights and appeal to children of all ages. The tower is designed so that the privacy of adjacent neighbors is protected. Conversely, it is possible to observe people in the tower from ground level. Under the attached pergola, there are a variety of informal gathering areas, which form the tower base in the garden.

The tower garden offers a wide range of options for leisure activities. There is an outdoor kitchen, a common herb and spice garden, petanque courts and play facilities for all ages. A large tiled surface offers the possibility for larger events, such as community meals or small concert events.
